It is reported that HTC will drop the M series name and rename their flagship ‘Hima’, still wondering what their inspiration was for this name. In the past couple of months there has been a lot of speculation as to what the upcoming HTC device would be like, would it be top-notch and win an award again or will it have specs that we have already seen launched by some other manufacturer. Only time will tell whether they gamble and go big or play it safe and go home.
HTC Hima will sport a 5 or 5.5-inch Quad HD Resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. There are still debates abound whether the new HTC smartphone will have a 5 inch or a 5.5 inch display. The smartphone will be equipped with Snapdragon 810 processor and will be powered by Android’s latest firmware 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7.0. HTC Hima will sport a 20.7 megapixel rear and 13-megapixel or 4-UltraPixel front cameras, there are some welcome upgrades in this section. Another improvement will be the audio department, for which the manufacturer is collaborating with Bose to amp this feature. Along with that the device will be equipped with a 3GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage and a 2840 mAH battery. The smartphone will be available in three colors: silver, gold and gunmetal gold. Impressed or not, or do you think that HTC could have done something more? Well the specs do sound promising, looking forward to the launch to see if the finished product has the same specifications as discussed.
The launch dates of HTC Hima are not confirmed yet, but looking at the past years patterns, it will launch in March. HTC usually does not unveil its devices on MWC (Mobile World Congress), which will be in March but will hold a separate event for it. There have been some other rumors related to HTC Hima’s variants but that update is not conclusive yet, if that report gets confirmed by reliable source, we will be updating you on that development too. So, are you putting HTC Hima on wishlist for next year or are you skipping this and looking for something else.
